Ian Strang

1886-1952

Ian Strang was a British etcher, illustrator, painter and draughtsman, born in London, England. The son of Scottish printmaker William Strang, he studied at the Slade School of Art in London and the Academie Julian in Paris. His first solo exhibition was held at the Goupil Gallery 1914, and was elected an Associate member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1925, becoming a full member a few years later in 1930.
