John Nugent Fitch

Was born in Glasgow on October 24, 1840.  He was a British botanical illustrator best known for the 528 images he created for "The Orchid Album" published in London between 1872 and 1897.  He also worked on "Curtis’s Botanical Magazine" from 1878 and was elected a fellow of the Linnean Society in 1877.
