Louis Novak

1903-1983

Louis Novak was a Hungarian-American artist, or Czech-American as some refer to him. The region his family was from became part of Czechoslovakia after World War I. His family immigrated to the United States when he was a young child, where they settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts after living briefly in New York City. He taught at Wentworth Institute for many years. The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston has a nice collection of his work.
