Tokoha Matsuda was born in Hokkaido, Japan. She studied at Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan and the Art Students League, New York, NY. At Hunter College, City University of New York, NY, she received her BA in studio art and an MFA in graphic art.
Her work has been exhibited in the United States and abroad including Yaesu Gallery and Takekawa Gallery in Tokyo, Japan; Black Church Studio, Dublin, Ireland; and since 2006 at The Old Print Shop in New York, among others. Matsuda is a member of the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA), National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), and Japanese Artists Association of New York. Her work is in numerous private and corporate collections.
