M. C. Cooke

Cooke was an English scientist primarily interested in botanical study and description. He founded the Society of a Amateur Botanists and received numerous awards and honors for his extensive research and collection of botanical subject matter. In addition, he was highly regarded for his detailed illustrations of British fungi that served as a companion to the "Handbook of British Fungi."
