James Haggerty

James Haggerty, an award winning painter and printmaker from NYC, has exhibited his work throughout the United States and abroad.  Most recently he was a finalist with Art Kudos International Juried Art Competition & Exhibition 2012.  He has received awards with Audubon Artists Inc., the Salmagundi Club, the American Artists Professional League and the Artlink Contemporary Art Gallery. Haggerty has a selected design in Cow Parade New York 2000. He has received recognition in widely spread newspapers and magazines including Life Magazine, The Guardian, the International Business Times and New York Newsday.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Hunter College and additional instruction from the Art Students League of New York and the School of Visual Arts, Haggerty’s diverse training lends an unmistakable distinctive character to his work. No matter the subject, century old or contemporary architecture, Haggerty creates a sense of drama, power and mystery. His work is in both private and public collections. He is a member of the esteemed Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA) and the Los Angeles Printmakers.
