William L. Sonntag

William Sonntag was a noted Hudson River School painter - a mid-19th century American art movement noted for its romanization of landscapes. It name was derived from the fact that many of its artists, and thus the focus of their work, were based in or around the Hudson River Valley of New York State.

His son, William L. Sonntag, Jr. was also an artist, known for his talents as a draftsman, but also created paintings and illustrations.
