“I think of my work as dealing much more with the turbulence of my emotions than about technique, process, or any intellectual method or idea. I use the techniques that I have learned as tools only. Whether I am doing a figure, a landscape or still-life, I am viewing from inside my body; and usually the image is speaking more about my feelings than About the objects I'm depicting.”
Born in the Bronx in 1949 and studied at the State University of new York at Buffalo and the Philadelphia College of Art. He has had one-person exhibitions at Maxwell Fine Arts/Gallery 121, Peekskill , NY and Alysia Duckler Gallery, Portland , OR . His work has been included in group exhibitions at Taipei Fine Art Museum , Taiwan ; Housatonic Museum of Art; and New York transit Museum among others. His work is included in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Library of Congress, New York Transit Museum and others.
