Sylvie Covey studied Graphic Arts at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, Art Students League, B. A. SUNY Empire State College, M. F. A. in Graphics Summa cum Laude from CUNY Hunter College, New York. She has taught at Art Students League, The Art Center of Northern New Jersey, Hunter College , Manhattan Graphics Center , The Newark Museum & the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York .
Covey has been in many exhibitions - solo and group: Maison Françoise of Columbia University, New York, NY., the Salon d'Automne du grand Palais in Paris, France, Museum of Modern Art in Ljubjana, Slovenia, Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, Poland, City Art Gallery in Czestochowa in Poland, Graphic Constellation in Graz, Austria, the Consumentar '98 and '01 in Nuremberg, Germany, Museo d'Arte Moderna in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Ino-cho Paper Museum in Kochi, Japan, Museum of Sapporo, Japan, Museum of the City of New York and other. Covey has work in the collections of: The New York Public Library Prints Collection, Kidder, National Museum of Krakow, Museum of the City of New York , NY., and others. She was the recipient of an Artist Space Grant and two Nessa Cohen Grants.
