  • DESCRIPTION: Tab. 73. Pulmonaria Officinalis has many uses, but it is best known for treating respiratory conditions (such as chronic bronchitis). When combined with other herbs it even has uses against whooping cough and asthma. <br><br> This engraving is from Plenck's scarce "Icones Plantarum Medicinalium Secundum Systema Linnaei Digestarum." This work was devoted to the medicinal properties of native European plants. Many had never been illustrated before. The engravings have a freshness and simplicity that charms collectors today.
