DESCRIPTION: A fine map of the Duchy of Milan, including towns of Nice, Monaco, Turin, Milan, Genoa, Massa, which appeared in Jaillot’s “Nouvelle introduction a le geographie....” Embellished with a beautifully engraved cartouche and scale. Cartographically this map is based on the work of Nicholas Sanson.
