  • DESCRIPTION: A fine example of one of the most decorative and popular maps of Africa. The map is surrounded with vignettes on three sides. The upper border has nine birds-eye views of cities and colonial settlements. The side borders depict images of native Africans from various parts of the continent. Adorning the map are engravings of galleons, sea monsters, flying fish, lions, elephants, etc. A very handsome map. <br><br>
