DESCRIPTION: A fine double hemisphere star chart as seen in the northern and southern skies. Dedicated to Marco Bembo. Vincenzo Coronelli was the official cosmographer to the Republic of Venice and map-maker to Louis XIV. Coronelli had access in France to the maps and official reports of explorers, as well as valuable accounts of Jesuit missionaries supplied to him by friends.
