DESCRIPTION: Signed in bronze. Unique sculpture, made with the lost wax process. In Robert Cook's words, "Robert Helpmann's ballet, 'The Display,' based on the mating dance of the lyrebird, inspired this piece. Its performance at the inauguration of the Canberra Theatre Center coincided with the installation of 'Thespis,' my fountain done for the Australian government in 1965."
