  • DESCRIPTION: The Black Hawk was built in New York by William H. Webb and launched in December 1856. She left New York on her first voyage to San Francisco on April 2 and arriving on July 30, 1857. In total she made 20 voyages to San Francisco. She was damaged by fire in February of 1891 and condemned.
