An advertising pocket map in original red paper covers. The title on the covers is "War Map of Mexico showing the strength of the United States Army and Navy and of the Mexican Army and Navy. Also the location of the forts along the border line between the United States and Mexico." An interesting and informative historical map that deals with the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920). A red printed overlay shows the various opposing forces. In the north are the Carranza Constitutionalists. To the south are Vegas, Zapata and Pascual and the IN Rebellion in Yucatan. In the seas surrounding Mexico is a small force of Mexican naval ships that is surrounded by a large force of U.S. Warships including the USS New York (bb-34) and newly launched USS Texas (bb-35). On the verso is a description of “The Mexican Situation” and chronologic list of the Mexican events that took place in 1913-14. Rand McNally issued this map “ Compliments of the Travelers Insurance Company, Hartford Conn.” An interesting and scarce map.Covers present but separated from map. Maps , Pocket Maps
