  • DESCRIPTION: Tab. 70. Cuscuta Europaea is considered a parasitic vine, as it latches onto other plants and robs it of nutrients. The vine, however, has medicinal uses for humans. Commonly used in the eastern world, some of its uses include detoxification of the liver and kidneys, enhance sperm health & production and easing certain bodily pains. <br><br> This engraving is from Plenck's scarce "Icones Plantarum Medicinalium Secundum Systema Linnaei Digestarum." This work was devoted to the medicinal properties of native European plants. Many had never been illustrated before. The engravings have a freshness and simplicity that charms collectors today.
