Remark in lower left shows Nike with "Drexel Institute" printed over the winged figure. <br><br> Anthony Joseph Drexel (1826-1893) was an American financier and philanthropist who founded the Drexel Institute (now known as Drexel University) in 1891. His revolutionary stance on higher education helped pave the path for the educational system we have today, wherein all are accepted, regardless of race, gender or social status.
