A fine large English engraving of the British General who had the dubious honor of having to surrender to the combined French and American forces at Yorktown on October 17th, 1781. Thus ending the fighting in the Revolutionary War. Engraving by Benj. Smith. After the painting by John Singleton Copley. Copley was America's first great portrait painter.
