Burnham & Co. and stands at the confluence of Fifth Avenue and Broadway at 23rd Street. Its real name is the Fuller Building but it is commonly referred to as the Flatiron Building because its triangular shape resembles a clothes iron. The building sits diagonally across the street from Madison Square Park. The cabs in the foreground are headed to lower Manhattan.” Retif and Salzer, Frederick Mershimer Mezzotints 1984-2006, A Catalogue Raisonne.
