The chart was originally issued in 1770 by Scull, engraved by Henry Dawkins and published in Philadelphia. It was re-engraved both in London and in Paris with the Paris imprint being by Georges Louis Le Rouge for inclusion in "Pilote americain septentrionaleā€, his version of the John Faden's "North American Pilot." The le Rouge edition is far rarer than the English imprint. Maps
