  • DESCRIPTION: Engraved by Wm. Allen & Wm. W. Warr. A large scale folding guide map to Philadelphia. This map is very detailed and shows all primary buildings and streets at the time. All the wharf’s are identified by name. This map appeared in Henry Tanner's first city guide, “The Stranger's Guide To The Public Buildings, Places of Amusement, Streets, Lanes, Alleys, Roads, Avenues, Courts, Wharves, Principal Hotels, Steam Boat Landings, Stage Offices, Etc. Etc. Of The City Of Philadelphia And Adjoining Districts…”. William Allen worked with Tanner both are a draftsman and engraver on the map.
