• DESCRIPTION: Painted & engraved by E. Savage. Shows a full bust portrait of Washington in uniform, face 3/4 right, with the Order of Cincinnati pin on the left lapel of his coat. Portrait is set in an oval, set into a rectangle. This is the first state of three of this print. Sadly it lacks the lower lines of text. "President of the United States of America. From the Original Picture Painted in 1790 for the Philosophical Chamber, at the University of Cambridge, in Massachusetts. Published Feby. 7, 1792 by E. Savage, No. 29 Charles Street, Middx. Hospital."
