  • DESCRIPTION: A fun pre-war map of Los Angeles and surrounding region. The map shows the relative locations of the chief points of interest. In large print prominent locations are identified such as the Malibu Beach Colony, Universal City, Fossil Pits, Griffith Park, Lincoln Park, Occidental College, San Gabriel Canyon, Arabian Horse Farm, Rose Bowl, and even the Huntington Library and Art Gallery. On the verso are two maps, One "Sightseeing map of Los Angeles and Hollywood" is a close up map showing downtown L.A. with vignette images designating prominent locations. On the right is a map "Where the movie stars live" which gives a directory to the stars that live there. Some of the stars are: Groucho Marx, James Cagney, Edward G. Robinson, Charley Chaplin, Claudette Colbert, Gary Cooper and many others. <br><br>
