DESCRIPTION: A fine early map of the Louisbourg Harbor in Nova Scotia, Canada. Fortress Louisbourg (noted as "Ville") and East & West White Point Cove (Pointe Blanche) are on the left. Tour de la Lanterne is on the right. This map appeared in Bellin's "Le Petit Atlas Maritime, ou Recueil de Cartes et de Plans des Quatre Parties du Monde". This atlas or pilot is a wonderful French produced small sized work that depicted a great many parts of the known world.
