She was got by the Famous Horse Mambrino Chief out of a thoroughbred mare : By Gano (who was by American Eclipse,) Grandam by Potomac, Gr. Grandam by Imp. Messenger, she has therefore three corsses of the Messenger blood as Follows, on the male side : Mambrino Chief, Mambrino Paymaster, Mambrino Messenger, on her Dams side the Gano Mare, Gano, American Exlipse, Miller's Damsel, Messenger, the Gano Mare's Dam : The Potomac Mare, The Messenger Mare. Messenger.<BR><BR>Lady Thorn is next to Dexter as the best trotting horse of all time.
