During the 1930's he was involved in the Federal Art Project, W.P.A. in the Bay area. As were many artists of this period, Hagedorn was strongly influenced by WWII. The dark symbolism in his prints of this time make a powerful statement on the destructive power of war. 20th Century Subjects , Historical , World War II
