DESCRIPTION: The map was first issued by Richard Seale and Peter Bell in 1768. This version now shows the new states of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Vermont. Indiana is shown in the approximate present location of West Virginia. A large Western Territory is shown encompassing the present day states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. An interesting and beautifully colored map of the young United States.
