DESCRIPTION: This fine Dutch sea chart depicts both the Windward & Leeward Islands in the Caribbean Islands. Puerto Rico, Trinidad, Tobago and some of the some of the Lesser Antilles are shown as well. The Dutch family of Goos, Abraham and his son Pieter were one of the leading engravers and publishers of sea charts, atlases and general maritime books in the middle of the seventeenth century. This map is from "Zee-Atlas Ofte Water-Wereld."

CONDITION: Good condition save for some overall time-toning & traces of old water stain in upper left. Fine original hand color.
