DESCRIPTION: Letter undated, with drawing to Mrs. Whitmore who ran a gallery in Hingham, Mass. Partial text in the letter "I think with a little practice I might go in for cats too, animals seem to be in demand among print collectors and I might just as well begin on cats and work my way up into elephants, and with a nine-foot giraffe as a final goal. All of which shows that in spite of your calming visit I am still in a rebellious mood. I still look upon all my recent output with a dark frown in-luding those few with the lighter touch which you admired. . ."
