DESCRIPTION: A handsome map from a 1640 Latin text edition of Blaeu's "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, Sive Atlas Novis." Embellished with a beautifully colored title cartouche, which is surmounted by a trumpeting angel. In the lower right is a large inset plan of the city of Nuremberg above which is a key to the major buildings within.
