A fine, large scale chart. This chart depicts the last stretch of the Yangtse River before it meets the sea. It gives soundings and notes on the tides, and includes an inset of an additional stretch of river, ending where the main chart starts. There is also an engraving of the south face of the Porcelain Tower of Nanking, engraved by James Fitzjames, complete with a scale. The chart itselt was engraved by J. & C. Walker. Maps
