  • DESCRIPTION: Tracing for the 1922 etching and aquatint "The Dragon Ship." Based on a watercolor done by Arms housed in a collection of the Library of Congress.

  • ADDITIONAL INFO: Unsigned. Various notes penciled in over image and lower left under bottom margin. This drawing came directly from the Estate of John Taylor Arms. Being transfer drawings means these drawings were used to create the copper plate that printed the etching. As any object that is used in this fashion, they often have a variety of condition issues. They are, however, unique works created by the artist.
