  • DESCRIPTION: Drawn by Pierre Joseph Redoute, probably the most celebrated flower painter in history, From Duhamel de Monceau's "Traite des Arbres et Arbustes." Working under the patronage of Josephine Bonaparte at Malmaison, Redoute developed his botanical knowledge and artistic still to create the finest prints ever made of roses, lilies, "les plus belles fleurs" and, in this work, flowering fruit trees.
