DESCRIPTION: A fine small engraved view of the walled city of Dunkerque, France. On two sides is a description of the city and key. Gabriel Bodenehr the Elder (c. 1664-1758) was a Swiss artist who worked in Augsburg. He created many topographical views and plans of European and North African cities. Many were gathered under the overall title Le Gloire et la Force de l'Europe.
