DESCRIPTION: From "Herbarium Blackwellianum Emendatum et Auctem," the German edition of Blackwell's "A Curious Herbal." <br><br> Chelidonium majus is also known as the greater celandine and is a member of the poppy family. This plant has been used for medicinal purposes since at least the 1st century A.D. with various accounts of it being used for treating eye-related problems and jaundice. It was also used as a pain reliever and a cholagogue.
