Edward Sachse

Edward Sachse was a German-American lithographer based out of Baltimore, Maryland. His business, E. Sachse & Co., was a prominent lithographic firm in the in the city during the mid-19th-century, producing aerial views of American towns, cities and well-known sites. One of the firm's most famous works is the 12-sheet "E. Sachse, & Co.'s Bird's Eye View of the City of Baltimore, 1869."

Sanchse was born and raised in Gorlitz, Germany, where he worked as a lithographer until he immigrated to the United States in 1848.
