Zsissly (Malvin Marr Albright)

1897 - 1983

Malvin Marr (Zsissly) Albright was an American artist, born in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Adam Emory Albright, a well-known Chicago painter, and the identical twin brother of Ivan Albright, who is perhaps best known for his medical illustrations, depicting the horrors of war during World War I. Professionally, Malvin took on the name "Zsissly", supposedly because he wanted his family to be represented on both ends of the alphabet.
