Price: SOLD Publisher : Published by J.M. Atwood, No. 19 Beekman Street, New York. Title continues "also the New Boundaries of California, Utah, & New Mexico." Atwood created maps of the California Gold Rush for Colton and Ensign & Thayer, but this is his own effort. described as rare by Rumsey. The Gold Regions are marked, and the map traces overland routes from the East and Midwest as well as the sea route through the Isthmus of Panama. Mexico's northern border with New Mexico extends to the Gila River. The West is still composed of large territories, among them Minnesota, Nebraska, Oregon and Utah. With a Table of Distances at bottom.
