Scarce hand-colored toned line lithograph after George Catlin. Created by H. Hendrickx and E. Vermorcken for Die Indianer Nord-Amerikas by Dr. Heinrich Berghaus. This was the German edition of Catlin’s Letters and Notes on the Manners, Customs and Condition of the North American Indians. Published by Carl Muquardt, Brussels, Leipzig and Gent, 1851.
