DESCRIPTION: A fine view of the towns of Augustodunum (Autun) and Noviodunum (Nevers), France, from Braun & Hogenberg’s “Civitates Orbis Terrarum.” The town of Autun is located in Saone-et-Loire dept., east central France on the Arroux River. Noviodunum is now named Nevers and is located in Nievre dept. in the Bourgogne region in central France on the Loire River. Embellished with the arms of the city and an image of a gentleman and woman.
