DESCRIPTION: A fine early Dutch bible map that was based on Nicholas Visscher's world map of 1631. (Shirley #431). Allegorical figures representing the continents adorn each corner. In the cusp between the two hemispheres are two astronomical diagrams. California is also shown as an Island.
