Price: $45.00 Publisher : Published for Gleason's Pictorial Drawing Room Companion, Boston. Launched on May 3, 1851, the yacht "America" was commissioned by members of the New York Yacht Club. On August 22, 1851, America won the Royal Yacht Squadron's 53-mile (85 km) regatta around the Isle of Wight by eighteen minutes.
