  • DESCRIPTION: A fine large-scale pocket map of the island, color-coded to the various townships of the time. The Long Island Rail Road shows only the main line that runs to Greenport.. Today’s Port Jefferson Branch ends at Northport. The south side railroad ends at Patchogue. The Sag Harbor branch originates at Manorville. Notes all the roads, churches, meeting houses, post offices, and early town names. Drawn on a scale of two inches per five miles. A scarce and quite beautiful map of the Island. <br><br>

  • CONDITION: Good condition save for some minor splitting and faint browning along folds. Professionally conserved. Original hand coloring.
