  • DESCRIPTION: Engraved by R. Houston. Three-quarters length portrait, with Pitt seated in a chair, directed to left, facing and looking to the front. Pitt’s right arm is resting on a table scattered with books, letters, and a quill. His hand is holding a leaf of paper. Pitt was the Tory Prime Minister from 1783 to 1801 and from 1804 to 1806. He restructured Britain’s finances after the Revolutionary War.
