DESCRIPTION: From Redoute's "Les Liliacees" published in Paris 1802-1816. Printed in an edition of 200. Langlois sculp. The flower is also known as the "snake's head fritillary", "chess flower" and "leper lily" because it reminded people of the bells lepers were forced to carry back in the day.
