Publisher : Published in Amsterdam by S. J. Baalde and N. T. Gravius. Pieter Cramer (1721-c.1779) was a Dutch wool merchant and entomologist. He assembled an extensive collection of insects that included butterflies and moths. He hired Gerrit Wartenaar Lambertz to make drawings of his collection that were then engraved and published. The resulting work was titled “Papillons Exotiques des Trois parties du Monde: l'Asie, l'Afrique et l'Amerique” or the Exotic Butterflies from three parts of the World: Asia, Africa and America.
