In 1853 the Washington Territory was formed with both stretching well eastward. In 1863 a large Idaho Territory was formed when Congress passed the Organic Act. This configuration lasted approximately a year then was again broken up forming the familiar āLā shaped Idaho and Montana Territory. Nicely embellished with a rose, flower and ivy vine border. A nice bright impression.
