Price: $550.00 Publisher : Published by Kurz & Allison, Chicago. Subtitled - "Rear Attack by Genl. John A. Logan - May 16th 1863". A Union victory. This battle was key in the isolation and eventual siege of the city of Vicksburg. Between 1884 and 1894 Kurz and Allison published thirty-six chromolithographs of Civil War battles. These prints were valued for their naive artistry. The compositions are stylized, showing both Union and Confederate armies in panoramic "fishbowl" settings.
