  • DESCRIPTION: Title continues "He was installed Knight of the Garter in the region of Henry the Seventh, obit 1519." <br><br> Engraved by Charles Turner from an extreme rare print by Hans Burgkmair. <br><br> A portrait of Maximilian I, King of the Germans (also known as the King of the Romans) and Holy Roman Emperor (1459-1519). He is shown, in full armor, poised in the saddle of his armored horse. His helmet is decorated with a crown and peacock feathers. His horse's helm is decorated with the imperial eagle (Reichsadler) and the horn of a unicorn.
